Waiver

Waiver and Release of Liability

  1. All canine clients enrolled with PawPals DayCare must have completed their final puppy vaccination and meet PawPals’ minimum age requirements before attending daycare.
  2. Any dog over the age of 7 months must be desexed unless otherwise agreed by PawPals in writing.
  3. Proof of C5 vaccination must be provided upon enrollment and each year thereafter (a titre test is absolutely acceptable).
  4. Dogs must be on a lead at all times while entering and leaving PawPals DayCare.
  5. Owners must notify PawPals if their dog has shown signs of illness, injury, contagious disease, parasites, kennel cough, vomiting, diarrhoea, or any condition that may affect their suitability to attend daycare. PawPals reserves the right to request veterinary clearance before a dog returns to daycare.
  6. The dog owner agrees to disclose any known aggressive/ behavioural issues prior to orientation.
  7. The dog owner must disclose any aggressive/ behavioural issues that the dog may display/ develop after the orientation process.
  8. The dog owner understands that every dog must complete a Meet & Greet assessment prior to attending daycare. This assessment allows PawPals to evaluate the dog’s suitability for our enrichment-based daycare environment, social groups, and routines.
  9. Although all dogs complete a Meet & Greet assessment, PawPals DayCare reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or discontinue attendance at any time if it is deemed to be in the best interests of the dog, other dogs, clients, or team members. The dog owner further understands that while the results of the Meet & Greet will indicate whether or not their dog is suitable for DayCare at PawPals, their dog may require reassessing in the future, in particular if there is a negative change in behaviour. Although the Meet & Greet reduces the risk of a dispute occurring between the dogs attending day care, it does not eliminate this risk.
  10. The owner acknowledges that photographs and videos may be taken during daycare activities for operational, educational, community, and marketing purposes. Owners who do not wish their dog to appear in marketing materials must notify PawPals in writing.
  11. PawPals DayCare may use positive interruption, redirection, management, and handling techniques to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all dogs.
  12. The owner understands that PawPals prioritises the welfare and emotional wellbeing of every dog. If a dog displays behaviour indicating that daycare is no longer suitable or enjoyable for them, PawPals reserves the right to suspend or permanently discontinue attendance.

  13. The owner acknowledges that PawPals operates an enrichment-based daycare model which may include structured socialisation, scent work, enrichment activities, confidence-building exercises, training games, sensory experiences, and supervised group interactions.

    The dog owner understands that by admitting their dog(s) to PawPals DayCare, they are participating in a cage-free environment and that there are inherent risks associated with such an environment, including (but not limited to):

    – Injuries including broken nails, abrasions, cuts and sore pads
    – Transfer of communicable illness such as kennel cough, ringworm, conjunctivitis,
    – Possibility of behavioural problems.
  14. While PawPals takes all reasonable precautions to provide a safe, supervised, and structured environment, the owner acknowledges that these risks cannot be completely eliminated.
  15. If emergency veterinary treatment is required, the owner authorises PawPals to seek veterinary care on their behalf. The owner remains responsible for all veterinary costs incurred.

Attendance

  1. There is a minimum of one day a week attendance. The dog’s owner understands that a “no show” or “cancellation” without 24 hours’ notice will be charged 100% of the fee.
  2. All payments will be made by direct debit. Failed direct debit payments may be automatically reprocessed and will incur a $5 administration fee.
  3. All dogs are to be collected before PawPals closing time (6.00pm). All late pickups will incur a surcharge of $10 per 10 minute increment that will be automatically charged to yoru account.

I agree that:

  1. I am solely responsible for any loss, damage or harm caused or contributed by my dog(s) while it is attending PawPals DayCare.
  2. If my dog falls ill or if there is an emergency and I or my alternative contact cannot be contacted, PawPals DayCare may seek immediate Veterinary care for my dog.
  3. I am responsible for all costs associated with clause a) and b) above.
  4. I will abide by all rules and regulations set out above in PawPals DayCare Waiver and Liability. I accept all of PawPals DayCare rules and regulations, accepting all terms, conditions and statements contained within.
 

I release PawPals DayCare and its employees and agents, from all liability and indemnify PawPals DayCare from any or all claims of every kind and nature whatsoever, arising directly and indirectly, from my dog(s) participation in activates or use of service and including legal claims.

I have read and understood this agreement and I understand I am waiving certain legal rights by signing and agreeing to this document.
